Effective October 2026

Who we are and how to reach us

Vitality Integrative Health is a multidisciplinary health clinic in Richmond, British Columbia, with two locations: Seafair (Unit 150, 8900 No 1 Rd, Richmond, BC V7C 4C1) and Minoru (7191 Granville Ave #2060, Richmond, BC V6Y 1N9). This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website.

We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Our privacy officer is responsible for our privacy practices. You can reach the privacy officer at info@vitalityintegrativehealth.ca or 604 274 2692.

Information this website collects

We collect only the information needed to respond to you and run this website. When you use our contact form, you provide some or all of the following. You choose what to include, and we ask that you keep health details out of the form, because email and web forms are not a private way to share them.

  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • Your preferred clinic (Seafair or Minoru)
  • The message you write to us

Online booking through Jane App

Online booking is provided by Jane App, a clinic management system operated by Jane Software Inc. When you choose to book online, you leave this website and enter your details on a Jane page. Jane collects and handles that information under its own privacy policy, which you can read at https://jane.app/privacy.

We receive the booking details you submit so that we can schedule and manage your appointment. Online booking is optional. If you would rather not use it, you are welcome to call us on 604 274 2692 and our team will help you book by phone instead.

Cookies, analytics and server logs

Like most websites, ours may use cookies, which are small files stored in your browser, and similar technologies. These help the site work properly and help us understand, in general terms, how visitors use it, such as which pages are viewed most often. This information is used to improve the website and is not used to identify you personally.

Our web hosting systems also typically keep server logs, which can include your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit and the date and time of your visit. These logs are used for security, troubleshooting and performance. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well.

Why we collect information and how we use it

We collect and use personal information only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances, and we tell you about those purposes when we collect it. We use the information you give us through this website to:

  • Respond to your questions and requests
  • Schedule, confirm and manage appointments
  • Contact you about your enquiry or booking
  • Keep this website secure and working well
  • Understand how the website is used so we can improve it
  • Meet our legal and professional obligations

Health information shared in clinic

This policy is mainly about our website. Health information you share with your practitioner during care is different. It is held in your clinical record, and it is governed by the clinic’s privacy practices and by the standards of the regulatory college that oversees each practitioner.

Your practitioner will explain how your clinical information is collected, used and kept, and you can ask us questions at any visit. We do not use your website enquiry for marketing without your consent, and we will not add details from this website to your clinical record unless they are needed for your care.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only when there is a good reason to, only as much as is needed, and only with people or organizations that have a genuine need for it. Depending on your situation, this can include sharing it with:

  • Insurers such as ICBC and WorkSafeBC, only with your consent or as needed to support a claim
  • Service providers that help us run the clinic, such as our online booking system and email systems, who may only use it to provide their service to us
  • Regulators, courts or other authorities, when we are required or permitted by law to do so

How long we keep information and how we protect it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy and as required by law. When information is no longer needed for those purposes or by law, we aim to destroy it securely or to make it anonymous so that it can no longer be linked to you.

We use reasonable physical, technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access. No website or online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please use care about what you send by email or web form, and call us if you would prefer to share something by phone.

Your rights and choices

You have rights over your personal information, which are listed below. To use any of them, contact our privacy officer using the details above. We will respond within the time required by law, and we may need to confirm your identity first to protect your information from being disclosed to someone else.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy concern, please tell us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

  • Ask to see the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Withdraw your consent to how we use your information, subject to legal and contractual limits
  • Ask how we have used or shared your information

Children and links to other websites

This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the site. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will work with you to address it.

Our website may link to other websites, including Jane App and social media pages. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit before you share personal information.

Changes to this policy and contact

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, our website or the law. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated, and we encourage you to review the policy occasionally so that you know how your information is handled.

If you have a question about this policy or about how we handle personal information, please contact our privacy officer at info@vitalityintegrativehealth.ca or 604 274 2692. You can also write to us at either of our Richmond clinics, Seafair or Minoru, using the addresses at the top of this policy.
